Lyra Abueg Garcellano graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (1994) and from the University of the Philippines with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts (2000). She is an accomplished illustrator of children’s books and is the author of a comic strip in a national daily newspaper.
