The prelinen postcard shows the Ford Hotel in Montreal, published by Lumitone. Unfortunately the only Ford Hotel that I was able to gather information was the hotel in Toronto, not in Montreal. Good thing that there was a little bit of information at the back of the card. However, I was able to find information about the Ford Hotels Company and it shows the same hotel, but it stated that it is the Hotel Ford in Buffalo, New York and not the Montreal chain.

In the 1960s or '70s this building housed the Montreal studios of the CBC. I worked in this building during the late 80s or early 90s. One year they renovated the lobby and I remember seeing a huge CBC logo embedded in the terrazzo floor.
