HYATT REGENCY SAN FRANCISCO, Embarcadero Center. It's a heptagon, towering triangularly 18 stories above the Embarcadero Fountain. It's a lounge that turns 360 degrees to show all of San Francisco. It's crystal bubble elevators. It's a lobby that is a towering atrium. It's the epitome of modern architecture and building design.
Hyatt Regency San Francisco was famous for its rooftop revolving restaurant called Equinox, offering 360-degree views of the city and the bay (it closed in 2007). The hotel was sold for close to $200 million to Dune Capital Management and DiNapoli Capital Partners in January 2007 – roughly $250,000 for each of the hotels 802 rooms.
