The postcard shows a tuba gatherer climbing a coconut tree to extract sap used in making the tuba. Tuba, considered by Filipinos as a type of hard drink, is coconut toddy that has a stinging sweet and bittersweet taste. The process extracting the sap of an unopened coconut bud.
